Salary: Circa £80,000 depending on skills and experience plus executive car allowance.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering effective Asset Management services to support all teams using the Asset Management System.
- Driving the adoption of digital tools such as Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Building Information Management (BIM).
- Developing and implementing the site-wide Asset Management strategy, advising on maintenance, refurbishment, and asset use to balance cost, performance, and safety risks.
- Driving continuous improvement of Asset Management services in line with ISO 55001 requirements and relevant industry good practice.
- Coordinating across engineering, operations, maintenance, projects, estates, and other stakeholders to standardise approaches, resolve conflicts, and ensure consistent delivery across programmes.
Your skills and experiences:
- Proven experience in Maintenance and Engineering, with comprehensive experience in managing Asset Lifecycle and developing engineering strategies.
- Good understanding of ISO 55001 asset management principles.
- Experience in highly regulated environments, such as nuclear or similar industries, is advantageous.
- Registered within an engineering profession, with the capability to attain chartered status.
- Holder of recognised asset management qualification (e.g. IAM Certificate or Diploma).

The Asset Management Office team is the central hub for Asset Management Capability and Services for the BAE Systems Barrow Site and, ultimately, exists to enable optimised decision-making across the whole asset lifecycle; from acquire to retire. With significant ongoing investment in new capabilities for the BAE Systems Barrow site, this is an exciting time to join the team and help us make it a success.
