BAE Systems Digital Intelligence is home to 4,500 digital, cyber and intelligence experts. We are looking for experienced Platform Engineers to join our team following continuous growth and success in the NNCC (National Network Cyber Centre) team. Core Experience & Skills
  • Kubernetes: Hands‑on experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting workloads in Kubernetes environments.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Working knowledge of Ansible, Helm, Terraform – used to manage infrastructure repeatably and reliably.
  • Containerisation: Solid understanding of Docker, with experience building, deploying, and managing containerised applications.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Experience designing or maintaining build and release pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
  • Operating Systems: Proficiency in Linux environments, including scripting in Bash and/or Python for automation and tooling.
  • Open Source Technologies: Familiarity with tools like Kafka, Elasticsearch, Grafana, or Prometheus for logging, monitoring, and streaming use cases.
  • Version Control: Proficient in using Git for source code management, including branching strategies and code reviews.
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Cloud Platforms: Practical use of cloud services, particularly AWS, with exposure to services like EC2, S3, IAM, EKS, etc.
  • Virtualisation: Exposure to virtualisation platforms such as Proxmox or VMware in lab or production environments.
  • Agile Environments: Comfortable working as part of a team using agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean).

Security Clearance

Only those with the permanent and unrestricted right to live and work in the UK will be considered for a position within BAE Systems Digital Intelligence.
