What you'll be doing:
- Coordinate suppliers to ensure delivery schedules, invoicing, and quality requirements are met in line with agreed standards.
- Support order book reviews with internal teams and suppliers, maintaining accurate ERP data, tracking performance through reporting tools, and addressing any queries promptly.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to make sure parts and materials meet the needs of both the business and its customers.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships, engaging regularly through meetings and visits in the UK and overseas.
- Use data and trend analysis to monitor supplier performance, identifying and escalating any issues where necessary.
- Work dynamically with suppliers and internal teams to ensure dependencies and keep delivery plans on track.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Experience working within a procurement or similar environment.
- Knowledge of procurement and supply chain orderbook coordination, including raising purchase orders, overseeing delivery timelines, and handling supplier updates, queries, and invoices.
- A good level of procurement competence across key areas such as performance management, procurement delivery, supplier development, and subcontract management.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders through clear and influential communication.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with examples of identifying opportunities to improve processes, solve problems, and work collaboratively to develop practical solutions.
- Comfortable in using IT and digital tools, including ERP systems and Microsoft Excel (advanced level), with the ability to interpret data and present findings through reports and presentations.
Desirable:
- Experience using Tableau reporting systems.
- Exposure to multiple ERP systems.
- Working towards a professional procurement qualification (e.g., MCIPS, CIPS, or ISM), or holding an equivalent level of experience.
