Role and Business Summary
The Microwave & Functional Materials Capability forms part of the Electronic Systems and Materials Theme within the BAE SYSTEMS Advanced Technology Centre. A Manufacturing Operative is required to join the ATS business to support the Production team in the Manufacture of our range of products. This is an entry-level role, and so we will provide the successful candidates with robust training and guidance required to perform the role effectively.
Typical Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will follow our standardised processes and use our equipment to produce a range of products. Tasks include:
- Spraying coatings onto different materials/products.
- Use of plant and equipment to compound and press Rubber and manufacture Resin based materials.
- Manufacture of Composite components.
Your Skills, Experience, Knowledge & Behaviour
Essential- No Formal Qualifications required.
- Good hand skills when working with a variety of tools and products.
- Able to work both as part of a team and autonomously when required.
- Desire to perform shop-floor based tasks.
- A Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
- Previous experience (academic or industrial) in spraying operations.
- Previous experience (academic or industrial) working with rubbers, polymers or composites.
