Job title: SHE Manager Location: Bishopton Salary: £57,000 What you’ll be doing: Responsible for delivery of operational SHE activities across the Bishopton Lower Tier COMAH Site To be the recognised subject matter expert and SQEP (Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person) for the provision of competent SHE advice to Bishopton ETF To act as the primary point of contact for all SHE matters at the Bishopton Site Implementation of the Land UK SHE Policy and supporting SHE Management System together with the deployment of the Land UK SHE objectives and targets across Bishopton ensuring consistency and effective improvement in SHE risk management and embedding a culture of continuous improvement and the sharing of best practices Preparing and delivering appropriate reports to illustrate SHE performance at Bishopton to various stakeholders, including SLT level Influencing and consultation with Land UK senior SHE management team in reviewing the relevance of strategic goals for deployment at Bishopton Work closely with other SHE Managers in Land UK to ensure a consistent approach to COMAH compliance and Explosives Licencing is adopted across Land UK Ensure the site meets all legal and Land UK SHE requirements, including all the requirements of the COMAH Regulations, such as the submission of the Safety Report, establishment of the Major Accident Prevention Policy (MAPP) and meeting any additional requirements of the Competent Authority Provide robust, impartial and independent SHE assurance for determining compliance with all relevant legal, BAE Systems Operational Framework and SHE Management System requirements Your skills and experiences: Essential: The role holder is required to hold one or more of the following QCF/NQF Level 5 (or higher) SHE qualifications: •NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety • Level 5 NVQ in Occupational Safety and Health Practice • Level 6 NCRQ Diploma in Applied Health and Safety • NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management • Safety, Health and/or Environmental Honours Degree (Bachelors or Higher) Or equivalent qualification in Safety, Health and/or Environmental subject Demonstrate theoretical and practical expertise in a number of SHE topic areas in order to act as the subject matter expert within Land UK Experience to write and present written reports Effective at influencing and coaching others to appropriately consider SHE during decision making and when reaching solutions at strategic and operational level Desirable: Hold a recognised environmental qualification, such as the IEMA certificate Demonstrate the knowledge (e.g. hold an appropriate teaching qualification) and experience to deliver high quality SHE training Worked in large engineering or manufacturing environment Benefits: You’ll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
