Job Title: SAP FICO DevOps Engineer

Salary: Circa £60,000 dependent on experience
What you’ll be doing:

• Leading the design, configuration and development, supporting the customised and standard SAP S4 HANA FI CO solutions; their integration with the end-to-end solution
• Directly working with peers, business stakeholders and Product Analysts by helping refine the requirements and translating them into FI CO functional and technical designs
• A lead contributor in the DevOps team, supporting the application, resolving incidents/problems, reducing technical debt and designing and developing new features to help enable the business through ERP
• Taking the lead, alongside other DevOps Engineers, producing cross module designs which are complementary of each other and promote continuity of knowledge across the team
• Adhering to standards, governance and best practices set out by the Product Architects, leading by example and responsible for mitigating technical debt/risks/issues
• Diagnosing service delivery problems and initiating actions to maintain or improve levels of service
• Fluent in process frameworks like ITIL, Prince2 and Agile and have a good understanding of an efficient Software Development Lifecycle

Your skills and experiences:
Essential:

• Solid understanding of SAP S4HANA ERP modules, components and architecture Development and Test
• Functional/ Technical Design
• Data management experience
• Fluent in process frameworks like ITIL, Prince2 and Agile and have a good understanding of an efficient Software Development Lifecycle
• Relevant IT degree or business degree

Desirable:

• Experience in consultancy or people management position

The SAP DevOps team:
The SAP DevOps team sits within a the Finance Portfolio team supporting a range of applications used by the business to support finance operations. The DevOps team is divided into three squads, one of which is focuses on supporting Shared Services SAP. We operate using agile principles and mange work in two weekly sprints contains in 13 week PI cycles. We support BAU as well as delivery of changes requested by the business, which are triaged and refined by the Product Leads within our wider Finance team. We follow principles of continuous improvement and look for opportunities to refine processes and drive down incident problems through process improvements and RCA where possible. The aim is to deliver maximum value to the business.
