Salary: £45,628 – £61,500 (commensurate with skills and experience)
\\n\\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\\n
As a vital member of our team, you will:

- \\nDefine site standards: Establish processes and technical requirements for electrical engineering related to equipment, systems, and facilities.
- \\nConduct reviews: Assess design proposals to ensure compliance with standards throughout the lifecycle of equipment and facilities.
- \\nProduce documentation: Create technical reports and documentation that support our engineering efforts.
- \\nProblem-solving: Provide input on engineering issues and collaborate on solutions.
- \\nBe the go-to expert: Serve as the primary contact for High Voltage standards concerning site electrical systems.
- \\nLead improvements: Chair initiatives to enhance policies, equipment, and capabilities while ensuring compliance with regulations.

\\n\\nYour Skills and Experience:\\n
We are looking for someone who has:
\\n
- \\n
- \\nHigh Voltage expertise: Proven experience with 11kV systems.
- \\nIndustrial background: Familiarity with commercial standards in an engineering environment.
- \\nEducational qualifications: A degree in electrical engineering or equivalent (e.g., HND with relevant experience).
- \\nProfessional registration: Membership with an engineering professional institute and the ability to achieve chartered status.
- \\nLeadership experience: Demonstrated ability to lead within an engineering context and knowledge of British standards.
- \\nTechnical proficiency: Experience in a technical role with transferable skills, such as assurance.
- \\nNuclear experience: Familiarity with ONR License Conditions or similar highly regulated environments is a plus.

Join a dynamic team that supports a wide range of electrical disciplines. You will have opportunities to learn and develop in Low Voltage (LV), High Voltage (HV), Control & Instrumentation (C&I), and Communications. Each day brings new challenges, allowing you to apply your problem-solving skills and drive innovative solutions. As our Barrow site infrastructure expands, you will play a crucial role in developing new facilities and enhancing existing systems.
