What you'll be doing:
- Performing NDT inspections and investigations then detailing any findings in line with standard operating procedure (SOP) requirements
- Evaluating and sentencing products in line with acceptance standards
- Supporting with Internal and External audits, and quality investigations into product concerns
- Actively support production across site in NDT related matters
- Adhering to site Health & Safety policies
- Liaising with customers and suppliers
- Supporting customer compliance requirements
- Gaining an understanding of using equipment and software to carry out inspections
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Hold or have held either EN4179, ISO9712, SNT, or PCN Level 2 accreditation in any combination of Ultrasonic, Eddy Current, Dye Penetrant and Magnetic Particle Inspections
- Able to work an altered shift pattern to include days, afternoons & nights, long days or continental
Desirable:
- Experience working in a manufacturing or similar environment
- Qualification in manufacturing or mechanical engineering
- Holding either EN4179, ISO9712, SNT, or PCN accreditation

The NDT team:
As an NDT Engineer you would be joining a small but growing team working on munitions products for the BAE Systems Land UK customer. Reporting directly into the NDT Lead with support from other NDT Engineers you will get the chance to work on long-term programmes. There will also be opportunities for you to develop and grow within the role as BAE Systems will support you with further qualifications/accreditations.
