Project Management Professional – Naval Ships Combat Systems

We are seeking a project management professional to support the delivery of complex naval ships combat systems projects. The role involves:

  1. Deputising for the Project Manager to ensure project continuity, stakeholder communication, and daily operations management.
  2. Delivering work packages on time, within budget, and to quality standards, including forecasting.
  3. Maintaining resource forecasting accuracy based on planned work.
  4. Supporting the Control Account Manager in overall project delivery.
  5. Identifying, assessing, and managing project risks.
  6. Contributing to continuous improvement and project best practices.
  7. Preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for reviews.

Ideal candidates will have extensive knowledge of project management techniques, including resource planning, cost analysis, schedule tracking, Earned Value Management (EVM), risk management, and change management. A project management qualification such as the APM Project Management Qualification is preferred.

Desirable skills include a comprehensive understanding of Life Cycle Management. The role involves working closely with experienced Project Managers on highly complex projects, including international and MOD customer projects, providing valuable experience in stakeholder engagement and technical coordination.
