What you’ll be doing: As a Portfolio Manager within the Capital Investment Team supporting a Technology Transfer service into Poland, you will play a key role across the full investment lifecycle, from requirements definition through to operational handover. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and can effectively balance multiple priorities. Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, you will build good, collaborative relationships across functions, sites and stakeholders. You will lead integration of internal delivery, manage customer-facing partnerships, and provide clear, regular reporting on programme status and financial performance to senior leadership.
Core duties:
- You will lead and deliver key work packages within the Programme, ensuring alignment with portfolio objectives and business priorities.
- Have responsibility for end-to-end delivery, maintaining accountability for schedule, technical, financial, and quality outcomes.
- Ensure you build and maintain considerable customer and supplier relationships, managing expectations through regular communication.
- You will plan and manage financial performance, achieving targets for orders, sales, margins, and cash flow.
- You will be required to liaise with key internal stakeholders across several functions, and ensure accurate reporting and forward planning using business tools.
Essential Skills:
- Degree qualification (or equivalent experience) with proven project delivery in engineering or manufacturing environments, including defence.
- Formal project management training (APM, PMI, PRINCE) with experience using tools such as MS Project, Predict! or SAP.
- Solid understanding of project management practices, with awareness of commercial, financial and cross-functional considerations.
- Demonstrated success delivering programmes to time, cost and quality, managing risks and opportunities effectively.
The Poland Transfer of Technology (ToT) Team: The Poland Transfer of Technology (ToT) team partners closely with our Polish customer in a trusted, client-friend relationship, delivering critical operational capability. Spanning three munitions sites; Glascoed, Washington and Radway Green collaborating and sharing key expertise through the technology transfer programme.
