Job Description: As a Systems Integration Team Lead, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the department’s activities within your allocated contracts, ensuring the team delivers to time cost and quality.
Core duties:
- Co-ordinating contract delivery activities for the department, supporting internal reviews as required, and highlighting issues for resolution
- Supporting external meetings with contract owners etc. as required to report status
- Managing internal and external dependencies to ensure on time delivery of outputs
- Providing support to departmental governance activities, including quality & document management
- Identifying and support the delivery of improvement opportunities within own scope of work across the integration team
Essential Skills:
- HND or degree in a STEM related discipline or equivalent experience
- Team leader experience, managing personal development, workload etc.
- Experience within Engineering Integration
- Experienced using JIRA/Confluence
- Project management skills
The Engineering Integration team co-ordinates the efforts of these delivery teams and provides an interface and single point of contact for the wider organisation. The department comprises three delivery teams – Aerodynamics, Flight Systems and Weapon Integration. Whilst Typhoon contracts represent the majority of the department’s workload, the scope of the work also encompasses some Hawk, Tornado and other aircraft tasks.
