Job Description:

The FCAS Resource Manager holds a position of responsibility to support the FCAS Senior Capability Engagement Manager to monitor supply and demand for FCAS Digital resources and to manage information so that it is executed and reported efficiently.

Core duties:

  • Lead digital resource demand and supply across FCAS, including its transition into Edgewing, ensuring alignment with business priorities and supporting workforce planning and budgeting.
  • Own the development and maintenance of digital resource demand in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring accurate representation across short, mid, and long-term planning horizons.
  • Monitor and forecast digital resource supply with internal teams and partners to support effective workforce planning and delivery.
  • Support the sourcing of suitably qualified and experienced personnel (SQEP) for secondments into Edgewing, ensuring future demand and return placements are planned and tracked.
  • Lead recruitment activity as a hiring manager, working with internal teams and suppliers to secure high-quality talent aligned to business needs.
  • Deliver small-scale projects as required, ensuring clear outcomes and alignment with organisational objectives.

Essential Skills:

  • Relevant vocational qualification or equivalent experience (e.g. HNC, PRINCE2 Foundation, or a degree in Computer Science or a related field).
  • Experience leading digital resource management and building effective relationships during periods of change.
  • Well-developed organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, assess demand and supply gaps, and implement effective action plans.
  • Analytical capability to interpret data from multiple sources and produce clear, meaningful insights and reports.
  • Ability to produce accurate resourcing forecasts and present information clearly through reports, presentations, and documentation.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, working with suppliers to secure resources, manage constraints, and retain critical capability.
  • Experience in resource allocation and capacity planning, with the ability to lead stakeholder discussions and communicate resource requirements within planning processes.

The FCAS Digital Services Capability team:

You’ll be joining a collaborative and forward-focused digital team supporting the delivery of FCAS capabilities, including its transition into Edgewing. The team plays a key role in ensuring the right digital skills and resources are in place to meet evolving business needs, both now and into the future.

Working closely with product, service, and delivery stakeholders, the team manages resource demand and supply, supports workforce planning, and enables effective decision-making through data-driven insights. It also partners with suppliers and internal functions to secure specialist capability and maintain continuity across a complex and fast-paced environment.
