What you’ll be doing:
As a Supportability Engineer, you will influence reliability, maintainability, and supportability across programmes, applying fleet knowledge to current and future designs. You will contribute to design-for-support strategies, define support requirements, and generate and manage supportability outputs across development and in-service phases, using recognised engineering standards and best practices.
Core duties:
- Support engineering assessment and apply supportability principles
- Advise teams on supportability and maintainability considerations
- Assess design and in-service data to inform support strategies
- Produce supportability outputs to international standards
- Ensure design changes and assess impacts on support solutions
- Evaluate safety requirements and impacts on support systems
Essential Skills:
- HNC/ Degree in Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautics Engineering or equivalent experience in supportability/maintainability role
- Knowledge of reliability and supportability tools (e.g. LORA, FMECA, LSA, ILS, RCM)
- Knowledge of LCM (Lifecycle Management)
The Supportability/Maintainability Team:
This team of around 20 spans multiple grades, ensuring supportability design across FCAS and GCAP, with a focus on lifecycle management, working closely with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders including the MoD, RAF, and international partners.
