This role is to lead a portfolio of products within the AWMS (Advanced Weapons and Munitions Support) IDT (Integrated delivery team) with full responsibility for the successful delivery of all projects in that area as well as leading the new business opportunities. This role will support the regular reporting of the delivery status and financial health of the portfolio to senior management.

You will be accountable for delivery of the projects and programmes and results of the team.

  • Supporting a multi-functional team, driving performance, accountability, and successful delivery of highly detailed projects and outcomes.
  • Ensure you identify and develop follow on business opportunities related to their products or processes.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that accurate forward load data is derived for projects from the business toolsets.
  • Oversee the development, establishment and continuous improvement and tailoring of procedures and guidelines for operation of the project/programme, ensuring adherence to the Operational Framework and LCM mandates.

Essential Skills:

  • Degree-level qualification in Engineering or Project Management, or equivalent industry experience with proven project delivery in complex engineering or defence environments.
  • Formally trained in Project Management (APM, PMI, or PRINCE), with experience using scheduling, risk tools, and familiarity with SAP.
  • Experience of building customer relationships, consistently delivering high levels of satisfaction and long-term engagement.
  • Able to resolve complex, non-routine programme challenges, applying sound judgement and structured problem-solving approaches.
