Job Description: As a Site Security Controller, you will lead the hands-on delivery of security governance and protective practices across Naval Ships programmes, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. You'll work closely with diverse internal teams, operational staff and external partners to create a secure and collaborative environment. Acting as the security SME, you will assess risks, shape mitigation plans and support their implementation to keep people, assets and information safe. Your contribution enables complex Naval Ship projects to be delivered securely and confidently.
Core duties:
- You will be seen by internal stakeholders as the security point of contact for any allocated sites and facilities.
- Engagement with cross-functional teams to ensure that customers and company security requirements are being met.
- Ensure delivery of Security Risk Management to address and reduce any identified risks to an acceptable level.
- You will have overall contractual responsibility for the security management of government classified assets and information.
- Carry out timely and proportionate response to and the processing of security incidents, to minimise the damage to the organisation.
Essential Skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge of GovS 007: Security, Joint Service Publications and Information Assurance Standards.
- Ability to assess and report on security measures, ensuring policies remain current and robust.
- Experience within Defence or another regulated industry is highly desirable and considered an asset.
