Role Description:
This role leads and contributes to teams delivering IT service transformation, shaping how digital, data and cyber functions evolve. It provides thought leadership in IT service and organisational design, ensuring strategies are forward‐looking and aligned to business needs. The position is hands‐on, driving transformation through mentoring, business change activities and stakeholder engagement. It involves developing robust business cases and ensuring successful delivery of their outcomes. A key focus is championing and implementing change that strengthens organisational capability across digital, data and cyber services.
Core Duties:
- You will be developing and implementing comprehensive IT transformation strategies aligned with the organisation's overall business objectives.
- You will be identifying and evaluating emerging technologies and trends to determine their potential impact on the organisation.
- You will be leading and managing IT transformation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- You will be facilitating organisational change, this will include development and implementation of change management plans, alongside effective communication.
- You will be selecting and implementing new technologies and solutions that support the organisation's business goals, this will include evaluating areas for improvement of current IT systems & infrastructure.
- You will be utilising data analytics to measure the impact of IT transformation initiatives and identify areas for optimisation.
Essential Skills:
- You will have a track record in challenging the status quo and bringing others together to design and implement the right outcomes for your customer.
- You will have proven consultancy skills and be comfortable influencing without authority.
- You will have experience of major global IT transformation programmes across multiple security tiers.
- You will have experience of major IT outsourcing contracts.
- You will be trained and experienced in ITIL, SIAM, Agile and Product Management approaches.
The Enterprise IT Strategy & Transformation Team:
The team is at the centre of the most significant transformation of IT in BAE Systems for many years. This includes major supplier changes as well as a restructuring of our Digital, Data and Cyber functions. The team are very hands on in designing and delivering IT transformations across multiple security tiers.
