Job Description:
As an IT Service Manager within the Collaboration team, within the Workplace Portfolio, you will be responsible for services from BAE Systems strategic suppliers and internally delivered towers. The IT Service Manager is the professional conscience ensuring that lines of services are accessible, compliant, and relevant to our business in terms of service definition, cost and performance.
Core duties:
- Providing input to the service continuity planning process and implements resulting plans.
- Managing the full product lifecycle to ensure that, over time, the needs of customers/users continue to be met and that financial and other benefits are achieved.
- Engaging the SDM and BRM community to ensure that they have the required information to meet their customer's business needs.
- Maintaining the performance of the service so that integration of future changes can be handled in accordance with 'continuous delivery' or 'Agile' principles.
- Ensuring that the Service is delivered within the agreed budget, and that if any additional funding is required, that adequate provision is made in the Service Recovery Model through the Integrated Business Planning process.
Essential Skills:
- Experience of working in IT Service Management.
- Experience working with external suppliers.
- Hold ITIL foundation and either appropriate ITIL Intermediate or other appropriate capability training.
- Microsoft Teams, unified communications or teams' devices knowledge.

The Modern Workplace team is a group of friendly service managers dedicated to delivering high-quality collaboration and end user services that support a large and dynamic workforce. Reporting to a Senior Service Manager, the team provides governance, assurance, and strategic oversight of third-party partners delivering critical modern workplace services. Working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers, the team drives service excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation across the estate. Although geographically dispersed across the UK, the team operates as a highly collaborative and supportive unit, offering a strong sense of community, shared purpose, and the opportunity to influence and shape services at scale.
