What you’ll be doing:

As a Mission & Information Systems Engineer, you will support the team and assist in delivering mission system capabilities, focusing on simulation for training and rehearsal. You will help develop design options, produce documentation, and create system models, contributing to the delivery of integrated aircraft mission systems aligned with programme requirements.

Core duties:

  • Create design artefacts for reviews
  • Assist with inputs to management and technical updates
  • Support model and design work using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Help with requirements and Air System Specification
  • Support risk, issues, and actions tracking
  • Assist with team outputs and stakeholder communication
  • Work with and learn from senior engineers on daily tasks

Essential Skills:

  • HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant STEM subject (Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Physics/Maths/Science)
  • Experience in aerospace or a related engineering/technology field
  • Understanding of systems engineering and lifecycle processes
  • Ability to analyse and apply system design data to problems
  • Knowledge of mission systems and simulation tools

The Mission Systems Engineering Integration Team:

You will join a newly established multi-site team focused on the design and implementation of aircraft mission systems. You will be understanding requirements and liaising with suppliers (e.g. radar and equipment providers), as well as collaborating with internal engineering delivery teams, including software, systems, electrical, weapons, and structural design functions.
