Salary: £42,215 + depending on experience
Core duties:
- You will be working as part of the Datum Pack and Product Configuration teams to define Common Missile Compartment Datum Pack scope and deliver specific outputs to support ILS (Integrated Logistic Support) build deliverables.
- You will be complying with contractual requirements and undertake work in accordance with company, safety, environmental, contractual and local business processes, standards, procedures and documentation.
- You will be responsible for ensuring configuration control baselines and the processes to monitor and check them are complete, and provide the appropriate levels of evidence for assurance, control and contractual purposes.
- You will be supporting the flow of configuration control requirements to suppliers, and the review and monitoring of their subsequent performance as appropriate.
- You will provide support with the development of estimates to support bids, proposal development and project planning activities for configuration control and baseline management activities.
- You will be working with internal and external Datum Pack and Product Configuration Stakeholders to ensure deliverables mature to expected timelines.
- You will be responsible for supporting the sourcing, creation, configuration control, reporting, delivery and acceptance of Datum Pack and Product Configuration deliverables against business or customer requirements.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- A relevant STEM qualification and/or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge and experience of the engineering lifecycle.
- Knowledge or at least recognition of relevant engineering standards, including safety and environmental regulations.
- Experience of the production & control of plans, schedules, process instructions, forms, user guides & standards.
- Understanding of the ILS (Integrated Logistic Support) Function and its outputs.

The Datum Pack team is an ever-growing diverse team made up of a wide range of previous experience from Project management to engineering, therefore it brings together varying skillsets and experiences aligning with the nature of the work in Datum Pack. Joining this team allows you to be part of the future growth of Submarine Support in Barrow and also gives you the opportunity to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders including the MoD.
This role provides exposure internally across functions such as Engineering, Quality and Integrated Combat Systems so you will gain a wide range of understanding of how the business functions and how the submarine life cycle develops through to handover to service.
