Job Description: This role oversees finance for small arms ammunition production and offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing and dynamic part of the business. You will be part of a collaborative team that values innovation, continuous improvement, and the sharing of best practice, helping to drive financial performance and operational excellence across the sites.

Core duties:

  • Monitor financial performance of Radway Green Site Operations cost base areas.
  • Advising on regular reviews with senior stakeholders and helping provide independent and robust financial challenge through the delivery and presentation of accurate and consistent management reporting information.
  • Support the Cost Performance Lead in the 5-year Integrated Business Plan for all aspects of a manufacturing business, including support to the direct labour rate calculation, co-ordination and challenge inputs with budget holders to generate labour and non-labour requirements.
  • Preparation of monthly accruals, prepayments & account correction journals and raising purchase requisitions to support operation, engineering and production requirements.
  • Ensure strong adherence to financial controls per finance policy manual and local procedures, including support with financial audit.
  • Support the business stakeholders to aid their understanding of financial information, including forecasting, key metric introduction analysis etc.
  • Work with the wider finance teams, across sites and specialisms and within the Defence Solutions business to communicate Radway Green finances and metrics.

Essential Skills:

  • Preferably a member of a UK recognised professional accountancy body with post qualifying experience and a strong track record in the FP&A domain.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and data manipulation.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, supporting operational and financial processes.

The Team: The Cost Performance team sits within the FP&A function of Munitions Finance, managing costs across our Land UK manufacturing sites. We work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Project Management to provide financial analysis and challenge that supports effective decision-making.
