Location: Preston. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Circa £55k depending on skills and experience.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build LLM capabilities services such as RAG Q A, summarisation, document integration and tool integration.
  • Develop LLM-backed APIs (FastAPI) for LLM chatbot capabilities.
  • Implement retrieval workflows (chunking, embeddings, grounded answering).
  • Integrate with enterprise data sources, MinIO, Databricks, Postgres/PGVector, Azure AI Search etc.
  • Improve response quality through evaluation and testing.
  • Deploy services in OpenShift and Azure via GitLab CI/CD.

Your skills and experiences

Essential:

  • Python backend engineering skill.
  • Experience of RAG implementation and LLM orchestration.
  • Knowledge of key tools such as FastAPI, Langchain/LangGraph, vLLM, AI Search, Hugging Face, Docling, PGVector and AI Foundry.
