Job Description:

The purpose of the role is to coordinate and deliver all core administrative, operational and stakeholder activities that ensure the smooth, compliant and safe running of the Academy. This includes managing information, events, people flow and facilities while supporting a positive delegate experience and maintaining high standards of governance and safety.

Core Duties:

  • Manage administrative tasks including room bookings, governance compliance, materials handling, delegate experience and record keeping
  • Deliver specialist Academy administrative duties on time to support essential operational requirements and priorities
  • Professionally represent the Academy when liaising with stakeholders, ensuring needs are met accurately and promptly
  • Contribute fully to the Academy team, supporting seamless transitions across people, events and training activities
  • Lead SHE responsible behaviours, promoting and facilitating actions that ensure a safe and compliant Academy environment

Essential Skills:

  • Considerable administrative background
  • Experience of building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Good working knowledge of relevant IT Systems/Technology e.g. SharePoint and MS Office
  • Ability to utilise safe manual handling methods to configure learning space layouts

This role offers the chance to help deliver and shape the new Naval Ships Applied Shipbuilding Academy, coordinating varied activities, engaging stakeholders, supporting learners and academic partners, attending events, guiding visitors across the site within a dynamic environment daily.
