Badocks Wood Primary School is seeking a welcoming, organised, and professional Receptionist to join our friendly team. As the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and staff, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and supportive school environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing the front office and answering enquiries
  • Greeting visitors and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed
  • Handling calls, emails, and general administration
  • Supporting staff and pupils with day-to-day needs

Salary: SCP3 – £22,367.90; FTE: £24,796.00; 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative, or customer service role (school experience desirable but not essential)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional manner
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and email systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
  • A positive, calm, and approachable attitude when dealing with pupils, parents, and staff
