We are currently looking for a Science Technician to support effective and efficient teaching and learning in the Science department.

Responsibilities

  • Provide equipment and materials to support practical teaching lessons
  • Deliver equipment to classrooms, collect, check and wash up as necessary
  • Operate and maintain stock control of equipment, undertake annual stock-take and ensure records are up to date
  • Update and maintain electronic inventory for equipment and chemicals
  • Prepare teacher demonstrations and assist in practical classes as required

Qualifications

  • Good up to date awareness of approved safe working practices in laboratories
  • Good practical and organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Competent in the use of IT
