Estates Technician at Badminton School.
Location: On site, Westbury-on-Trym BS9 3BA; Bristol
Position details:
- Type: Full-time (all-year-round)
- Hours: 40-hour week, Monday to Friday with an unpaid lunch break.
- The Estates Department operates from 7:00 to 22:00 Monday–Thursday and 7:00–21:00 Friday.
- Weekend work is required on a rota basis with days off during the week for weekend work.
Main responsibilities:
- In-house buildings maintenance including painting and decorating, carpentry and general maintenance.
- Routine swimming pool water quality monitoring and recording (training provided if required).
- Legal compliance monitoring and recording such as legionella, fire safety systems, asbestos and emergency lighting.
- Occasional inspection of all school transport, which could include cleaning of vehicles and ad hoc driving duties.
- When required, liaise with external contractors on site.
Qualifications and attributes:
- Strong general DIY skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Full driving licence.
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team and independently.
- Positive, can-do attitude.
- Ideally carpentry skills and experience of working with young people.
