The YONEX All England Open Badminton Championships is the world’s oldest and most prestigious badminton tournament. Owned and delivered by Badminton England, the sport’s national governing body, the Yonex All England Open is a flagship event that showcases the very highest level of our sport while creating inspirational moments on and off the court.

Role Summary
The All England Project Manager will play a central role in coordinating and delivering the end‑to‑end project plan for the All England Championships, aligned with the new 11‑day format. Acting as the connective hub between Commercial, Marketing, Operations, and other key functions, this role ensures that timelines, milestones, and workstreams progress smoothly and that all teams are aligned to deliver a world-class event experience. This is a highly collaborative, fast‑paced role that requires exceptional organisation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, alongside the ability to solve problems proactively and keep complex programmes of work on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Delivery: Develop, own, and maintain the master project plan for the All England Championships in line with the new 11‑day format. Monitor progress against timelines, identifying risks, issues, and dependencies across functions, and driving timely resolution. Ensure clear documentation, reporting, and visibility of project status to senior stakeholders.
- Cross‑Functional Coordination: Act as the central point of contact across Commercial, Marketing, Operations, Ticketing and other functional teams, ensuring seamless alignment and strong communication. Facilitate regular project meetings, updates, and cross‑functional workshops. Support teams in meeting deliverables and ensuring consistency and quality across all workstreams.
- Operational Readiness: Coordinate operational readiness preparations, ensuring that all functions are aligned to deliver a smooth and successful 11‑day event operation. Track requirements, resources, and planning milestones relating to venue, staffing, logistics, scheduling, and guest experience.
- Commercial & Marketing Support: Partner with Commercial and Marketing teams to integrate sponsorship, digital, broadcast, and fan engagement activities into the overall project plan. Ensure marketing campaigns, brand assets, partner activations, and commercial rights delivery are fully aligned with event timelines.
- Governance & Reporting: Prepare and present regular project status updates, dashboards, and reports for the Commercial Director and senior leadership. Maintain strong project governance, ensuring decisions, actions, and risks are captured and followed through.

Successful Candidate:
Essential:
- Proven experience in project management within sports, events, entertainment, or similar complex environments.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously.

- Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate, and work effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
