Badham Pharmacy are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and energetic pharmacist manager to join our teams across Gloucestershire. This is a rare opportunity to join us in one of our established pharmacies. This vacancy is in the modern Wilson Health Centre branch in Cheltenham GL52 3EY, approximately 10 minutes from junction 9/10 of the M5. The vacancy is full time Monday to Friday 09.00-17.30pm and some Saturday work 09.00-13.00 on a rota basis. We are also able to consider part time applicants for this role.

The branches offer services such as hypertension, pharmacy first, contraception and NMS, and there is the scope to develop the services offering further to include travel vaccines, weight management and more private services. The current trade is around 10,000 items a month and includes some MDS trays. The branch is ideal for an experienced pharmacist looking for a new challenge, who is services driven, and able to develop the provision of these. The branch uses the Pharmacy X system for dispensing which allows pharmacists much more free time to carry out essential services in the community.

We are currently expanding our services offering to include travel vaccines, weight management clinics and much more and see our pharmacists as the leaders of offering a range of services in our branches. We seek a commercially focused pharmacist with excellent clinical skills who can communicate effectively with customers, staff, GPs, and other healthcare professionals. You will lead by example with excellent customer service skills to provide the very best healthcare services to the communities in and around Gloucestershire. This branch would be equally suited to a newly qualified pharmacist or someone with more experience.

We require you to:

  • Undertake the role of responsible pharmacist at the pharmacy
  • Manage the safe and effective delivery of all pharmaceutical services at branch level including blood pressure, contraceptive services, flu jabs and all Pharmacy First services
  • Maintain and improve peoples’ health by promoting Healthy Living Pharmacy services
  • Ensure the effective and efficient running of the pharmacy, leading by example
  • Ensure the pharmacy engages with all commissioned services and complies with the quality framework
  • Develop the pharmacy business through relevant initiatives
  • Strong leadership of a team of technicians, dispensers and counter assistants
