Summary
We are seeking a Vehicle Technician to join our expanding team. Based at our facility in West Butterwick, you will play a vital role in assembling and installing bespoke vehicle systems, contributing to our commitment to quality and innovation. This position offers excellent opportunities for career development within a rapidly growing company. Demand for our servicing is growing quickly, and we’re now looking for someone who can take ownership of our mobile servicing and maintenance, keeping our customers happy and their vehicles running flawlessly out on the road. We need a proactive problem-solver who can hit the road, visit clients, and handle everything from routine check-ups to on-site troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Building and installing van conversions in our workshop (racking, false floors, linings, lighting systems, and conversion components)
- Installing our products on-site for customers when required
- Diagnosing and fixing faults on customer vehicles (conversion components, lighting systems, compressors, generators and related equipment)
- Carrying out scheduled servicing and maintenance on fitted systems
- Completing safety checks and compliance-related testing where applicable (PAT testing, clean-air testing, and general safety checks)
- Managing stock and readiness of the service van to improve first-time fix rate
- Completing job reports clearly and accurately (work completed, parts used, follow-up actions)
- Representing the brand professionally — great communication, tidy work, and high customer satisfaction
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
Qualifications – desirable but not essential
- Proven mechanical knowledge relevant to vehicle systems.
- Experience with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Prior experience in vehicle conversions or automotive manufacturing is preferred but not essential.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to evolving technologies.
