We are currently recruiting dedicated HGV Class 2 HIAB drivers who are looking for employment with excellent benefits, in return for a steady day’s work for our well known & respected client’s working in Bridgwater & surrounding areas.

Category C HIAB Driver required starting immediately in the Bridgwater area for ongoing day work. Monday to Friday doing builder’s merchant delivery. Start time each day will be 07:00 with average finish time being 17:00. Duties will involve working for various builder’s merchants in the local area. You will be expected to complete anything from 4 to 8 deliveries per day, all while operating the crane in a professional and safe manor. You will be expected to be able to work from your own intuitive and be able to secure loads safely.

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • You must hold a full UK Category C Licence.

  • Ideally you will have experience driving HGV Class 2.

  • Hold a valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.

  • Hold a valid HIAB ticket. (Free Training can be provided)

  • Knowledge of load security using ratchet straps and other methods.

  • Good knowledge of the local area.

  • Clean and professional at all times.

  • Good written and spoken communication skills.

  • The ability to handball off large and heavy items if required.

  • £14.00 per hour.

  • Minimum 9 hours paid per day.

  • £18.66 after 9 hours Monday to Friday.

  • £21.00 per hour for weekends.

  • Up to 28 days holiday accrued per year.

  • Pension contributions after 12 weeks probation period.

  • 45-hour week Mon to Fri would gross £630.00.

  • 50-hour week Mon to Fri would gross £723.30.

  • 55-hour week Mon to Fri would gross £816.30.
