We are seeking a dedicated van fitter. You ideally would have a background in coachworks or as a caravan fitter. Also, someone with an interest and experience in general DIY and plumbing and electrics would be suitable. You will be working on a variety of vans, none of which have the same spec so you will need to read plans and be able to use your initiative. This is a temp to perm role. Time 7am - 4pm (unpaid break). Monday and Friday. Lifting required so physical fitness is required. Wage £13.50 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Fitting out a variety of vans to a high standard.
- Some lifting.
- Some waterproofing of van.
- Handle materials safely and efficiently.
- Support shipping and receiving activities, including ensuring safety standards are met.
- Support with basic mechanical tasks or repairs as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in coach or caravan fitting preferred.
- A wide variety of DIY experience including electrics and plumbing.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks regularly.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Mechanical knowledge or understanding of materials handling equipment is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a fast-paced environment.
- A professional and positive attitude.
