Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering food items across the South West, maintaining a high standard of customer service. This role requires strong communication skills and a good understanding of the rules of the road, as well as good numeracy and literacy skills to enable correct delivery of goods.
Various shifts are required Monday to Sunday. The position is temporary, but it may become permanent for the right candidate. Own transport is required due to location.
Duties
- Safely operate a van to deliver goods to various locations.
- Load and unload items from the van, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to maintain good working condition and report any mechanical issues.
- Communicate effectively with staff and customers regarding schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
