We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering food items across the South West while maintaining a high standard of customer service. This role requires strong communication skills and a good understanding of the rules of the road. Good numeracy and literacy skills are required to enable correct delivery of goods. Monday to Saturday - temp to perm for the right candidate. Own transport is required due to location.
Duties:
- Safely operate a van to deliver goods to various locations.
- Load and unload items from the van, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any mechanical issues as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with staff and customers regarding schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Requirements:
- Valid driving licence (class B) with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
