We are seeking a dedicated and skilled van driver to join our team. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to operate a van safely and effectively. If you are passionate about driving and delivering exceptional service, we would love to hear from you.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, start time between 12-2pm and working till finish (could be early hours of the morning).
Pay: £12.70 per hour. Clean licence preferred. Good highway code knowledge an advantage. Assessment to be completed before starting the role. Heavy lifting so physical fitness is a must. The van will be double manned. Lifting to an allocated room in a house, some basic assembly.
Responsibilities- Operate a van safely and efficiently for deliveries.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods to various locations while adhering to traffic regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Valid Class B driving licence.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role an advantage.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A commitment to safety and adherence to company policies.
