Backhouse Jones is a market-leading specialist transport law firm, acting for clients across the UK’s road transport, bus, coach and haulage sectors. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Insurance Litigation Solicitor (NQ – 5 years PQE) to join our highly regarded Insurance Litigation team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a busy and growing department, working with a respected client base across the transport industry.

The Role

  • You will work within our established insurance litigation team handling defendant insurance claims, predominantly acting for clients within the bus, coach and haulage sectors.
  • There will also be an element of Uninsured Loss Recovery claims, for self-insured clients.
  • Your work will include:
    • Managing a caseload of litigated defendant personal injury and insurance claims
    • Supporting senior lawyers on complex litigation matters
    • Handling loss of use/ULR files where required
    • Delivering practical, commercial advice to transport sector clients
    • Building strong client relationships within the industry

About you

  • We are looking for a solicitor who:
  • Is newly qualified up to 5 years PQE
  • Has experience in insurance litigation / personal injury defence work
  • Has strong organisational and case management skills
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative team environment
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and client care skills
