Are you a seasoned finance professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic manufacturing environment? We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our team on a part‑time basis, bringing expertise in payroll, risk management, and management accounting.

About the role

As Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our financial operations supporting the Finance Director, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision‑making. You will also be supporting the development of our finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of payroll processing and compliance.
  • Lead risk management initiatives, identifying and mitigating financial risks.
  • Prepare/review and analyse management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Challenge costs against budgets and forecasts, being the steward of cash.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to support strategic financial planning.
  • Develop and mentor finance team members, promoting professional growth.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal controls.
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Regularly review, maintain and improve department standards and processes.

About You

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a similar finance leadership role, ideally within manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and risk management frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, excel, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Passionate about team development and process improvement.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.
