At Backbone, how we work matters. Our values: Be Fast, Stay Curious, Get It Done, Always Growing, Go Further drive how we deliver for customers and how we operate as a team.
The role: You will own customer projects end-to-end, from handover through to completion, in a fast-moving MSP environment. What you will do:
- Be Fast: Drive momentum and keep projects moving, identifying and resolving blockers early.
- Get It Done: Take full accountability for delivery to time, cost, and quality.
- Lead internal teams and third-party suppliers, holding contributors to commitments.
- Manage risks, dependencies, and change control with clarity and discipline.
- Provide clear weekly updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure clean documentation and operational handover into live service.
About you:
- Proven Project Manager experience in an MSP or technology services environment.
- Disciplined, organised, and confident owning delivery end-to-end.
- Comfortable challenging assumptions and clarifying requirements.
- Experience leading virtual teams and third-party suppliers.
- Familiar with PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or similar frameworks.
Stay Curious: You ask questions, improve processes, and learn as you go.
Why join us:
- Always Growing: Opportunity to shape delivery standards as the business scales.
- Go Further: Exposure to Microsoft, AI, networking, and cybersecurity projects.
- Hybrid working from London HQ or Southampton.
- A fast-paced, values-driven culture where people are trusted, empowered, and expected to deliver.
