We are seeking a Junior Cybersecurity & Networking Technician to join a growing IT Support team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest in IT, networking, and cybersecurity who is looking to gain practical experience within a fast-paced Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
You will work alongside an experienced team, supporting a variety of clients across different industries.
The role offers excellent training and development opportunities, allowing you to build technical skills while developing an understanding of modern cybersecurity practices and network infrastructure.
KEY DUTIES
As a Junior Cybersecurity & Networking Technician, you will
- Assist with the monitoring of client networks and systems.
- Support the identification and reporting of potential cybersecurity threats.
- Help configure and maintain networking equipment, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
- Provide first-line technical support to clients via phone, email, and remote support tools.
- Assist with user account management, password resets, and access permissions.
- Support security software deployment, updates, and maintenance.
- Help investigate cybersecurity alerts and escalate issues where required.
- Carry out routine system health checks and maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client systems and support activities.
- Assist with software installations, upgrades, and patch management.
- Contribute to cybersecurity awareness initiatives and best practice guidance.
