The Client
Our client is a UK based accountancy practice. The majority of their clients are in tech and ecommerce, including AI and SaaS. They are a small team, working remotely. They are proud to be a certified B-Corp, and provide pro-bono services to good causes each year. Most of their clients use Xero, but they also use other platforms like QuickBooks.
The Role
As a qualified Accountant youll be proactive and detail-oriented supporting a variety of UK-based clients with essential financial functions.
- Working across a portfolio of clients, your duties will include:
- Conducting bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
- Preparing statutory accounts for review by senior accountants
- Assist with payroll processing and submissions
- Prepare monthly management accounts to support client reporting
- Compile and submit VAT returns in accordance with HMRC regulations
- Collaborate with clients to collect missing information, resolve queries and support their financial understanding
You’ll be working in a small team who value flexibility. From time to time, you may be asked to support with other tasks as needed. The responsibilities listed may evolve as the role or the business develops.

You Should Have
- Qualified Accountant with previous practice experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to lead or contribute to client video calls
- A natural drive to automate processes wherever possible, using modern accounting tools
- A can-do attitude with the initiative to problem-solve and add value
- Proven experience using cloud-based accounting software, particularly Xero and QuickBooks Online
Terms
This is a fully remote role with flexible working hours, offering a rewarding opportunity.
- Flexible hours; choose your working pattern between 7:30am–8:00pm

- Competitive salary – circa £40-45k FTE
