A manufacturing company are currently seeking an apprentice to help assist with their IT and smart networks. The role will provide a hands-on opportunity to work with enterprise technology, engage with key stakeholders within the company, and develop new skills. Ideal for a 1st time role since training will be provided.
KEY DUTIES- Assist with setting up and configuring network devices such as switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Help to monitor and assess network performance to maintain reliable uptime and smooth daily operations.
- Contribute to producing and updating technical guides, diagrams, and documentation for network systems and processes.
- Keep track of hardware and software assets by maintaining up-to-date inventory records and supporting internal audits.
- Provide day-to-day assistance to IT teams, responding to technical queries and network-related issues.
- Take part in scheduled maintenance tasks and support system upgrades to ensure equipment remains up to date.
- Help investigate and respond to potential security alerts, supporting efforts to protect the company’s data and network integrity.
