The Role

To provide administrative support to the North Business Unit. To greet and welcome visitors to the Burscough office whilst managing the Company Switchboard and assisting the Office Manager with building facilities, administration and services. This is a permanent role, 37.5 hours over 5 days per week.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Booking travel
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
  • Assist with allocations of phones for new starters, set up on various systems
  • Manage leavers phone returns – chase up managers and put all phones back into stock on systems
  • Managing and booking meeting rooms
  • Maintain and upkeep company archiving filing system, including electronic filing records and delivery/collection to off-site storage
  • Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Switchboard management – answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and provide information to callers (training on system will be provided)
  • Assist with general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents – schedule appointments and manage calendars
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages
  • Maintain office supplies and place orders when necessary
  • Provide support to other team members as required
  • Assist Office Manager with Building Facilities Management and records.

What We’re Looking For

  • Good all-round basic education
  • Administrative experience in a busy, customer-facing environment
  • Confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high standard of organisation and prioritising skills
