Are you ready to help deliver one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects? The Geotechnical Sub Alliance (GSA) at Sizewell C is seeking a Senior Quality Advisor to play a key role in shaping quality excellence on one of the UK’s most high‑profile engineering programmes. You’ll work closely with project and supply‑chain teams to embed robust quality planning, strengthen assurance, and support a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support project teams in developing and implementing quality plans and ITPs, ensuring requirements are fully met across delivery and the supply chain.
  • Coach and guide delivery teams, helping them meet quality deliverables, resolve issues, and improve supplier performance.
  • Use digital tools to monitor quality performance, benchmark progress, and track the production of key deliverables.
  • Ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and that effective quality controls and assurance mechanisms are in place throughout the lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and deliver handover records to the required client standards.
  • Maintain and improve the Business Management System, ensuring it reflects current project needs.
  • Lead and support the audit programme, including local project audits, supplier audits, and external certification audits.
  • Contribute to quality strategies, measurement frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives, including lessons learned.
  • Support investigations and reporting on quality issues, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Promote quality excellence through training, coaching, and supporting teams in using digital quality systems.

Essential

  • An understanding and commitment to Quality Management.
  • Prior Quality experience and/or relevant operational / technical experience to meet industry sector demands.
  • Has an enquiring and questioning approach to audit work and experience in managing accreditation audits.
  • Experience in driving business improvement and leading change within a business.
  • Has an ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts.
  • Can work to plans, programmes and budgets.
  • Pays attention to detail and sees things through to completion.
  • Is good at building relationships and can influence effectively.
  • Can deliver reports orally and written in an objective manner.
  • Ability to challenge existing methods and ways of thinking.
  • Able to work within a multi-discipline team.
  • Fully proficient in modern office computer systems and technology e.g. Office 365.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor trained.

Desirable

  • A CQI Practitioner and working towards Chartered status.
  • Awareness of sector specific certifications and their requirements.
  • Experience in using Digital Progressive Assurance systems / Electronic Forms.
  • Operational experience in construction or asset management.
