Position Overview: Bach to Rock (B2R) America's Music School is seeking a part-time Rock Band Coach to provide music and performance lessons to students of all ages, using B2R curriculum to inspire and educate. Teachers help develop musicians who enjoy performing, recording, and composing.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach private, semi-private, and group lessons using Bach to Rock curriculum and cover song arrangements.
  • Create an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson environment.
  • Assess students' readiness to join bands or ensembles.
  • Assist at school events.
  • May repair equipment as needed.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of music concepts and effective communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of music theory and technique relevant to the primary instrument.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with diverse personalities.
  • Experience as a performer, either solo or group.
  • Experience working with youth and/or beginner musicians.
  • Ability to interact effectively with children (ages 3-17) and adults.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Additional Details: Hourly rate: $18 - $22, based on education, experience, and availability. Flexible part-time schedule with support from the school for marketing, scheduling, and billing.
