Job Summary
- Temporary contract opportunity to back-fill in the Payments team within Banking Operations
- Payment execution role in a small specialist UK Bank, recognising the nuances of payment instructions
- Supports the department’s day-to-day operations ensuring the efficient and effective processing of all the bank\\\’s domestic and international payments, adhering to currency cut off times
- Providing a high-quality Customer Service to the Bank’s customers and internal departments to facilitate smooth payment processing and resolution of issues
Key Work Outputs and Accountabilities
- Ensuring all processes and procedures are followed at all times
- Ensure all Payments are input and actioned correctly and efficiently by agreed cut off times
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure all payments are successfully screened and reflected within the banking systems
- Escalating any anomalies/errors to Associate level+
- Perform end of day checks, ensuring all processing queues are clear
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Strong working knowledge of SWIFT Lite, NOSTRO accounts, Payment formats + entry
- Ability to work to tight deadlines, and occasional pressured environment
- Solid understanding of general banking procedures
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Familiarity with Payment rules, regulations and protocols
