Job Summary

• Temporary contract opportunity to back-fill in the Payments team within Banking Operations
• Payment execution role in a small specialist UK Bank, recognising the nuances of payment instructions
• Supports the department’s day-to-day operations ensuring the efficient and effective processing of all the bank\\\’s domestic and international payments, adhering to currency cut off times
• Providing a high-quality Customer Service to the Bank’s customers and internal departments to facilitate smooth payment processing and resolution of issues

Key Work Outputs and Accountabilities

• Ensuring all processes and procedures are followed at all times
• Ensure all Payments are input and actioned correctly and efficiently by agreed cut off times
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure all payments are successfully screened and reflected within the banking systems
• Escalating any anomalies/errors to Associate level+
• Perform end of day checks, ensuring all processing queues are clear

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Strong working knowledge of SWIFT Lite, NOSTRO accounts, Payment formats + entry
• Ability to work to tight deadlines, and occasional pressured environment
• Solid understanding of general banking procedures
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Familiarity with Payment rules, regulations and protocols
