The UK Supply Centre is responsible for the production and supply of Bacardi’s Scotch Whisky and Gin, including DEWAR’S®, ABERFELDY® and BOMBAY SAPPHIRE®. The Manager role provides the lead role in supporting the UK Supply’s people initiatives including employee engagement, sourcing talent, succession planning and talent management, learning and development, employee relations, values and culture, union relationships, organisational review and design, performance management, HR systems, and compensation and benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads local HR Team of HRBPs to deliver Supply Chain People Plan, with focus on local deployment and execution.
- Leads the development and deployment of HR programmes covering the key global HR pillars.
- Acts as UK HQ site lead for all HR related matters.
- Contributes to strategy development through the provision of HR solutions that demonstrate added value.
- Responsible for a team of HR Business Partners that cover 8 sites across UK Supply from Spirit Supply, Manufacturing, SQS, Innovation and the various support functions.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and counselling in policy interpretation and review, staffing, compensation & benefits, conflict resolution, performance management, engagement, recruitment, onboarding, talent development and succession planning.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, training and retention.
- Drive/influence the Leadership Team and its members to make positive behaviour changes throughout the organization for optimal impact in relation to the overall BEST10 goals and strategy.
- Provide HR support for employee relations issues such as performance management, attendance & timekeeping, discipline & grievance.
- Lead communication and partnership with Union and union representatives.
- Support design and ensure implementation of organizational changes aligned with talent strategy.
- Drive Building Capabilities programmes in line with global and local people strategy and plans.
- Lead implementation of Global talent strategy, including diversity initiatives.
- Build succession pipeline for critical roles.
- Coach and educate managers on the talent development methodology and development resources available.
- Facilitate training sessions and career development workshops.
- Recruit and integrate high-quality candidates according to business needs, lead-time and recruitment cost targets.
- Collaborate with Global Compensation and Benefits Team to ensure competitive and equitable compensation structures.
- Lead governance, administration and communication of the UK Benefits programs, ensuring employee understanding and satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures in conduct, mobility, compensation & benefits, internal & external recruitment, onboarding, development, training, etc.; effectively partner with global and local SMEs.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
- Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations to reduce risks and ensure regulatory compliance; partner with legal counsel as needed/required.
- Maintain HR systems (WorkDay), ensure data is kept up to date and correct and provide relevant analysis and reports as required; partner with BES (Bacardi Excellence Services) to execute system changes.
- Monitor employee engagement level, support implementation of action plans to drive engagement.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in a comparable position in FMCG company; spirit or beverage industry preferred.
- Experience working with unionized or operational environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Master’s degree or HR certification is a plus.
- Experience with talent management, succession planning, employee relations, and immigration.
- Proven experience motivating and supporting HR programs across the business.
- Experience partnering, managing, and influencing multiple senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of UK Employment Laws.
- Strong drive for results with a positive, transparent and ethical leadership style.
- Handles ambiguity with comfort, resourcefulness, solution orientation and a growth mindset.
- A self-starter, works well with autonomy and can prioritize with sound judgment.
