The Global Category Senior Manager for Media and Insights is a critical role in the indirect procurement organization and is involved in a number of core activities from setting the overall category strategy and developing strategic plans to partnering with the business and ensuring stakeholder and agency engagement. The role impacts multi-million dollars of spend and delivers critical services to the business. In this role, you drive the development of best practices for spend categories Media and Insights to leverage global scale, maximize total cost of ownership savings, and enable procurement value contribution. A deep understanding of business needs, market insights, risks, and opportunities are necessary to help deliver business goals.
About You
You have procurement experience in media and/or media procurement (8+ years). Knowledge of other marketing categories is a plus. Knowing your way around SAP and SRM is going to be of real value, and your execution of procurement strategies whilst navigating internal and external partners is something you excel at!
Responsibilities
- Develop and continually review robust, forward-looking global category strategies based on business needs across Media and Insights.
- Lead and manage relationships with global insights, media agencies, and media owners by monitoring performance, SLAs, and continuous improvement activities where required.
- Negotiate and lead the commercial elements of global category contracts.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders to understand and define business requirements.
- Consult regional marketing and procurement teams for local and regional insights when co-developing global strategies.
- Partner with other Global Category/Regional Leads for synergies, alignment, and maximizing value, ensuring the best service overall to operations.
- Support central initiatives and lead transformational programs to deliver excellence in connections planning.

Skills
- Experience in media planning and buying and/or media procurement of 8+ years, preferably in a multinational environment in a complex matrix structure.
- Familiar with Strategic Procurement processes and skills.
- Able to manage in a matrix environment and effectively engage with critical stakeholders in media, marketing, and other functions.
- The ability to flawlessly execute in an environment with high volume and high complexity.
- Influencing skills / Directing Others.
- Expertise in media planning and buying.
