We serve families who struggle to access support elsewhere - due to financial, geographic, or cultural barriers - by offering free, evidence-based classesand resources in premium, fully accessible community hubs.

Reporting to the Head of Babyzone, the Operations Officeris responsible forthe smooth running of Babyzonedelivery days.

Their responsibilities will includeset-upandoperations, front-of-houseduties, close-downduties, andadditionalduties asrequired.

Operationsofficers will needqualitiessuch asorganisational skills, interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and flexibility.

Key responsibilities

Set-up and operations

  • Ensureoptimalpreparationofareas in Babyzone Brent intendedfor sessions, including moving furniture, adjusting layout, and other necessarychanges;
  • Support class leaders with the set up and pack down of their equipment;
  • Support the setup of exploratory play areas and other elements to create a welcoming and functionalenvironment;
  • Ensure easy access to essential amenities like pram parking andbaby-changingtoilets.

Front of house

  • Provide a warm and supportive welcome for all families attending Babyzone;
  • Capture family numbers and basic postcode data as families arrive;
  • Act as a floating resource to ensure positive experiences for allattendees;
  • Problem-solve any issues raised by families or class leaders during theday;
  • Welcome external stakeholders for tours of Babyzone along with the Head of Babyzone.
  • Assistclass leads in packing up all equipment used for exploratory play andclasses;
  • Return areasto original setup;

  • Ensure all rooms are cleared of anyitemsfrom Babyzoneactivities;
  • Report attendee numbers and any observations/issues to the Head of Babyzone.
  • Supervise and guideadditionalvolunteers, apprentices, or support staff asnecessary;
  • Respond toand actionreasonablerequestsfromthe Head of Babyzone;
  • Collect quotes and case studies from parents based on a cadence set by Head of Babyzone.

Safeguarding and compliance

  • Complete all necessary safeguarding training ina timelyfashion as directed by the Safeguarding Lead and Head of Babyzone(this is to be completed before starting your first day);
  • Adhereto safeguarding policies, andmaintainaculture of safetyfor children, families, andstaff;
  • Report any safeguarding incidents to the Head of Babyzone or Safeguarding Lead as soon as possible.
  • Adhere to all Babyzone policies and procedures.

  • Hours: Mondays, term-time only (8:30am - 3:00pm)
