Ultrasound Direct is a national innovative fast-moving company extending services into all aspects of private ultrasound with over 75 clinics across the UK. We carry out private pregnancy scans as well as men's and women's health scans and blood tests. Due to expansion, we are looking to recruit a number of Part-Time Clinic Assistants to work various hours covering clinics in different parts of London. You will be joining a dynamic team with lots of energy and a positive 'can do' attitude.

You must have a positive enthusiastic attitude, be willing to learn and adapt, and be super flexible. Our team is growing, so you must be a people person and have a great manner and the ability to get on with our team of Clinical Sonographers, Clinic Assistants, and Managers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work as part of Ultrasound Direct's non-clinical team, contributing to the business, supporting the values, aims and objectives of the company.
  • Work as an ambassador for the company by representing the organisation positively to the public and business partners alike.
  • Apply your best endeavours at all times to build service quality, reputation, influence and profitability of the organisation.
  • Provide support to other team members on projects, where appropriate, promoting a culture of innovation, creativity and learning amongst colleagues.
  • General reception duties including greeting clients, handling phone calls and emails.
  • Completing appropriate client paperwork accurately and efficiently.
  • Processing payments via card machine and reconciling daily cashbook.
  • Managing and administering online appointments diary.
  • Working closely with a team of medical professionals to ensure a fantastic experience for clients.
  • Upselling of client packages including extra options.
  • Stock control.
  • Promote existing and new Ultrasound Direct services.
  • Demonstrate and apply a high level of customer service at all times.
  • Clinic list/diary optimisation.
  • General administrative duties.
  • Contribution to social networking platforms.
  • General housekeeping.
  • If not already qualified, be willing to undertake the bloods training course to become competent in being able to draw blood from clients.

Qualities Required:

  • Must be completely fluent in English, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional, warm and friendly telephone manner.
  • Maintain a helpful, confident and positive manner at all times.
  • Must be honest, flexible, trustworthy, punctual and reliable.
  • Good organisational and administrative skills and work well under pressure especially during busy clinic times.
  • Someone who is personable and enjoys engaging with the general public.
  • Must be comfortable with selling and have excellent soft sales skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ideally some healthcare industry experience would be an advantage.
  • A fully trained Phlebotomist would be a huge advantage, or someone willing to undertake the training course to become fully competent on completion of probation and usually within six months of joining.
  • Weekend and evening availability is required. Flexible working pattern with opportunity to work additional shifts will be available.
