Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £37,280 - £44,075 per annum (pro rata for part time)

The role is open to full time, part time, and job share applications, all of which will be assessed equally.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a motivated and professional Executive Support Officer to join our Executive Support Team, with the experience, knowledge and ability to effectively support our Deputy Chief Executive and our Chief Operating Officer. To be successful, you will share our values, commitment, and motivation to make a difference for our residents, clients, and communities.

About The Role

The Executive Support Officer will provide proactive and trusted professional support to the Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer, working within the councils’ Strategic Policy team. You will play a key role identifying and prioritising key actions on behalf of the senior officers you support, and work closely with all directorates to ensure effective strategic support is provided. You will be a key part of the Strategic Policy team, which ensures strategic support is provided to the benefit of the wider organisation to ensure effective delivery of all the organisation's outcomes.

About You

You will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of providing executive and strategic support; an ability to master new and complex subject areas and problem solving; and display excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be invested in effectively supporting the Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer, working to a high degree of independence and autonomy, to ensure both senior officers are supported to effectively deliver our organisational outcomes.
