Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils are looking for a Business Improvement Officer to join our team in Housing Transformation. You will share our values, commitment, and motivation to make a difference for our residents, clients, and communities.

As the Business Improvement Officer, you will support the improvement and transformation of the Housing Services, including the use of systems thinking and business process reengineering. You will work alongside the Tenant Insight and Improvement Manager to ensure that tenant insight is considered throughout process mapping and service improvements. You will be a key part of making meaningful changes. Your dynamic and proactive attitude will combine with project management and data analysis to deliver beneficial change for the organisation.

About you

Educated to degree level, we are looking for someone with significant experience in either housing, process mapping, business improvement techniques or community engagement, together with an awareness of the issues affecting residents and their wider communities. You will need to demonstrate:

  • Knowledge and experience of business improvement techniques
  • Ability to use performance data to drive improvement
  • Experience of managing data and reporting requirements, analytics tools and techniques
  • Experience of strategic review, continuous improvement, benchmarking and project-based activities
  • Experience of managing a diverse portfolio of projects/programmes in a complex organisation to deliver significant organisational benefits
  • Ability to master new and complex subject areas
  • Problem solving skills and effective communication skills
