Objective of the Role
We are looking for a Scrum Master with proven experience leading agile software development teams, facilitating the adoption of agile frameworks, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. This role will be responsible for ensuring the correct implementation of Scrum, removing impediments, facilitating collaboration between teams and stakeholders, and ensuring that teams achieve their objectives effectively, maintaining high standards of quality, predictability, and value delivery.
Academic Background
University degree in Systems Engineering, Computing or related fields.
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience performing Scrum Master functions in software development projects.
- Experience working under agile frameworks throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Participation as a Scrum Master in at least three software development projects.
- Experience coordinating and facilitating multiple Scrum teams simultaneously.
- Experience collaborating with Product Owners, development teams, and business stakeholders.
- Experience using agile metrics for tracking and continuous improvement, including: Velocity, Burndown Charts, Backlog Tracking, Sprint Goals, Capacity Planning.
- Experience leading teams or facilitating agile transformation initiatives.
- Experience using agile management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence or similar.
Main Responsibilities
- Facilitate the effective implementation of the Scrum framework and other agile practices.
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, Backlog Refinement.
- Identify, manage, and remove impediments affecting team performance.
- Support the Product Owner in managing, refining, and prioritising the backlog.
- Promote the adoption of good agile practices and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Monitor team performance metrics and generate improvement actions.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between technical teams and business areas.
- Manage dependencies between teams and coordinate Scrum of Scrums initiatives when required.
- Ensure compliance with the Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD).
- Support risk management, incident management, and problem resolution initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of high-performance teams through coaching and mentoring.
